I’m not personally an adherent to this hypothesis because I’d like actual evidence, but it’s one of the most interesting things I have ever heard and physically makes my brain buzz:
The collective power of human consciousness creates the weather. Almost like Inception, when a potential weather pattern is revealed to the people by the weather forecaster, the psychic energy collected by the eyeballs on the program coalesces into the creation of the weather pattern. Since humans and this world itself are just a collection of light and energy, the environment we experience is almost like a collective matrix with real physics and the power of collective thought can harness this energy to manipulate our world. This is “faith that can move mountains”, though the only people who talk about stuff like this seem to also be super into aliens and taking mushrooms and smoking pot.
So take that with a grain of salt. But it’s certainly very fun to think about. Especially as we continue to have increasingly severe weather and the fear porn continues to build. Obviously cloud seeding and weather manipulation has a ton to do with this, and they never mention it in the weather forecasts: “Military planes are spraying aluminum into the atmosphere in order to flood the farms so the government can shut down domestic food production so they can import food, leading to even greater levels of control” just doesn’t roll off the tongue of a bubbly weather girl controlled by the station owner.
Again, it’s probably nonsense, but I enjoy the thought experiment.
