On 4/6/18 Q predicts the death of nearly all social media plus bing and google
Maybe we should take those over and revamp them for a freedom of speech paradigm, as they have some really cool functionality, rather than just killing them outright.
I think that's the one thing that's going to be a little tricky. Kill facebook is one thing, but by extension do you kill React? If Google goes down, does Angular support go with it? I mean the easy answer would be to say that communities will carry on support for these libraries once big tech is out of the way. Diving deeper though, what's buried in the code that we don't know about and is it just as potentially harmful. When I see something like "Net will be paused" you almost have to wonder if it's due to rewrites and ports that will have to take place because certain systems will no longer be available and not just a pause on social media and search engines.
I mean, I earn my living online so I hope the net isn't paused too long :)
