A friendship has to be earned for your trust. An acquaintance is 98 percent of those you know. The rest are strangers. Acquaintances and strangers have not earned your trust. So, if you were taught to not trust a stranger, why in the world would you trust an acquaintance? I read some where that most crimes committed are from someone you know (acquaintance).
