This, there's multiple interations of the news and it's the new reddit gospel.
But something doesn't add up. COVID deaths, if you believe they're real, tend to compound with advanced age and comorbidities.
Those are precisely the people who were vaccinated first. I believe statistics show vaccine hesitancy is mostly in under 30s and rural areas.
So where's the connection? Is this liberals abusing correlation or is the statistic pulled out of no where?
From what I know, when you get the vaccine the only record that remains of it is your vaccine card. If someone died of "covid" the only way to know if they have the vaccine or not is family or if the person who died was able to report it before they passed away.
@Scorpion76 is right here. The 95% number is a relative risk reduction (RRR) where all sick in the treatment group are compared against all sick in the control group. The absolute risk reduction (ARR) where the entire groups are compared is less than 0.8%.
