Not denying Cleveland having a democrap mayor, but I work in downtown Cleveland and when the riots came through, he shut down the city. I literally couldn't go to work for 2 days (ha ha not complaining) because he locked down every entrance to ensure the rioting stopped. He didn't let it get run down and torched like Portland. Also the owners of one of the bakeries down here pulled a shotgun on the rioters from busting out their windows and trashing their stores, and nobody said shit to them - if it were that bad in Cleveland, they would have gotten the McCloskey treatment, but they didn't. They were hailed as local heroes. I'm not Frank Jackson's biggest fan but there should be some context here. His problem is that he spends all the city's money in the downtown area to build it up (used to be all business, now people live here in old restructured office buildings which are now lofts) but the residential outskirts of the city are shot to hell because of it.
