First they come for the pilots and healthcare workers, next they will come for you.
If we do not take a stand starting today we all will soon be mandated.
They are piecemealing this vaccine push, one industry at a time.
If we all boycotted the airline industry today, it would send a message to the rest of the industries for tomorrow. We are not going to take it.
This will be the most important boycott of our lifetime.
I agree - not flying has provided a lot of excellent fringe benefits like the ones you mentioned for me as well... and in some cases it is also less expensive (it does take longer of course, but I plan ahead so that is not an issue).
Honestly, I LOVE planning road trips. I study maps online like crazy, it's so much fun. I don't plan out a whole trip, I like to leave time for discovering things on our own when we go, but it's nice to have a good outline of things to do and how much time it takes. You can't plan for everything; for instance, when we got to Nashville recently, it was really hard to find the Hard Rock Cafe. No directions could get us there. I finally just pulled up a map of the area, figured out where we were, and winged it that way.
