A few possibilities.

Break through cases.
Not all of their staff were vaxxed, despite their concert requirements for attendees
They needed an out for whatever reason. The one they chose looks bad, for the reasons above.

Sure, if it's either #1 or #2, they could be telling the truth about their reason for cancelling.

However, if it's #2, rather hypocritical that they require attendees to be vaxxed, but, not employees. Rules for thee, not for me.
