I would rather not say who directly, but it's almost completely related to the video list that SpeakEasy last posted and stickied. That list wasn't SpeakEasy's own work. However, the user had been harrassing everyone they decided to DM saying shit against the Mods and saying GAW should be banned, and linking to reposts of that one post multiple times to show his epic credentials. Moreover, they were doing so in a way that was designed to sow discord on the board. To SpeakEasy and others involved, this looked like board-breaking ops, hence the bans on that user's multiple accounts. The user's persistence with his multiple accounts meant that SpeakEasy was tempted to go that one step further to "troll the troll" and make them rage by copying the list, which was the one step too far.

A fellow user in the know and also harrassed by DM sent me this DM, which he's okay with me sharing:

what up echo, hope a PM is okay. Thought you might want to hear the tale of what happened.

I got some unsolicited harassing PM's that were written to throw shade at mods and this board. Dunno how long u've been on the Q-train, but this kind of thing is often an indicator that one or more actors is going to attempt a board-breakup.

So I look thru post history and we are talking MAJOR CANCER. So I mod-mssg and I'm like 'what does this douche want with me, and why does he think a redpill folder-dump counts as some epic contribution to the board when he's got so much cancer in his post hist?'

That repost post was the troll. I nearly blew cheddar wisps right up my nose I kek'd so hard. Easy was like "you think it's too cold?"

The lesson for the asshat was number one, don't run around PMing people throwing shade. Number two, no famefagging. Number three, copypasting your redpill folder is not some great beneficent gesture, it literally takes a few seconds... and since you posted it, it now belongs to anons. And if the 500 people who updooted your original post did what they were supposed to, there should be several hundred redpill folders that now include all that shit. IOW, just because you posted it doesn't mean you spent so much time and energy collecting it. It could have come from chans. Number four, a folder dump doesn't make up for your cancer-attitude on the board.

It was pretty funny when it happened, but then 300 updoots and 4 outraged sock pupped accts later, prolly the story should finally be told.

Incidentally, the banned user devolved into calling me "SMOOTHBRAIN. S-M-O-O-T-H-B-R-A-I-N," when he realised I wouldn't work for him. It wasn't nice but it did give me a hearty kek even when he tried to rub SpeakEasy's deletion in my face.
