35 years ago I knew a woman of Dutch descent who moved here from South Africa. They had a servant for every task. Who did the laundry only did laundry and so on. She dropped her fork when she flew into the US and saw a black person eating in an airport restaurant where she was eating. I do know that she felt superior then. I imagine she has changed having lived a somewhat cosmopolitan life since that time.
