Here's one: the CDC already had the story in advance berated they wrote it; if the info goes straight to them, the data will always match their story. Kind of like if you control the vote-counters, the vote will always match your count. Getting the data independently of the CDC allows truth to challenge the CDC's projections. It's a simple theory, but I like it.
If it's bigger than that, it could be a key link to the proof of treason, assuming the narrative came from a foreign government and requires disregarding the actual data.
