The easiest way is to add a plug-in to your browser.

For Firefox, I use the "Easy YouTube Video Downloader Express" because it adds a button below YouTube videos and it couldn't be easier to use.

VideoDownloadHelper is another browser plug-in that can record video streams from a range of different sources.

https://twittervideodownloader.com is good for downloading smaller Twitter videos because it'll work with all browsers and requires no plug-ins.

I use this page called YouTube Downloader , and on pc it's great because if you add "pp" after youtube in the url "youtubepp" it will transfer you to this site with a download page for the video in different formats.
