Oh yes, I did the hemi-sync years ago. It was great, theta especially.
My mind has quieted considerably over the past 10 years. Nothing to do but watch and wait. I've found slipping into presence in one's day-to-day activities, for a minute here, 30-seconds there, 5-minutes there, etc. has been far more effective in the long-run....in my case anyway.
There's this notion of "my regular life" versus my "spiritual/religious practice" that keeps things separate and distinct, which retards progress IMHO. I found after a good long meditation, I would want to just dump off the couch and DO DO DO --- literally anything --- clean the bathroom at 1am for example....hahaha.
It took me several years to recognize what was going on. That the egoic monkey-mind consciousness was needing to re-establish its dominance after lengthy meditations. Quite the trickster it is!
Anyway, after finally catching-on, the brief moments of meditation have slowly seeped into my day-to-day activities and have a profound effect to say the least.
Should you choose to give it a try, in time you'll notice a tremendous diminishment of what I call the "reactionary consciousness", which is the dominant from of consciousness we're engulfed in.
Instead, you'll be able to calmly assess your situation with complete ease and not "fire back" at the person you're talking to. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, causes them to "glitch" like this, when they're expecting a battle of words/ideas. It's hard to explain, but nothing I've found disarms the sleepers more than this -- a calm, measured response to their nonsensical diatribes.
It's all quite magical and I give credit to the moment-to-moment "Presence" practice entirely. I can also not take credit for "doing it" or "achieving" this state of awareness. It all just "happened" via pure grace.
Anyway, wishing you luck on your continued practices, whichever method you find most helpful. The secret is literally to stop "trying" to DO anything. This puts you into a state of what I like to call "NOTICING". I find that word more helpful than "watching" or "following" or "tracking" or "listening".
But to each their own. It hits you when it hits you. All that we desire - peace, joy, bliss, happiness, etc. is available to us 24x7x365. But sadly for most, few can stop and take notice of what is eternally true. Everybody is too busy TRYING to GET these things...... hahaha.... the false human condition in a nutshell.
It's quite a paradox indeed. We live in a fully inverted realm of deception when in our "minds" - hell on earth. But in our hearts, the whole picture flips entirely - heaven on earth. Stunning and beautiful in its utter simplicity.
Castaneda’s (although outed as a “fraud”) Don Juan shaman character would say “stopping the world” ie erasing your ego. Purely Zen conceptually. Your training is advanced obviously and I wish you satori 🙏. Thank you again.
Yeah, those are tricky ideas to suss out and understand, let alone explain.
My favorite teacher says; "What happens when you just allow everything to be as it is?".
Nothing to do, nothing to fix, nothing to achieve, nothing to change.
Remarkably, this simple practice "fixes" everything, in ways impossible to predict or imagine. Proving conclusively, that we have no idea what's really going on....hahaha. Quite a kick in the arse for most!

Godspeed patriot!
