Ignorance of the law should be a mitigating factor.
I don't get it. I'm reading your remark as sarcasm, but not enough information to really determine.
Because you're digging and straining to see sarcasm where there isn't any.
Actually, I don't think so. I'm a linguist and a translator by profession; its my professional work to gage meaning of written texts, etc.
It's just that your comments are terse, and the more commonly held view is that "ignorance of the law is no excuse".
but of course, my point was not that ignorance of the law is an excuse when you break a law (it may well be, but that wasn't my point). It was that people supporting biden simply because they think he actually won is NOT treason.
But I do appreciate the clarification! I shall henceforth venture out into the world knowing that CQVFEFE is not being sarcastic when he/she say "Ignorance of the law should be a mitigating factor."
God bless you, fren. And thank you!
Then, sorry to say, you're not bringing your A-game to this thread. (And not just because it's spelled "gauge" :)
Nobody else thought my remark was sarcastic. I can't even find any sarcasm value in saying ignorance of the law should be a mitigating factor in punishment, just because the "commonly held view" is to the contrary; the statement reads as straightforward as this sentence. Especially the second time.
Kind of weird. But have a great day.
