Trump is pretending now to be pro-vaccine, and owning it, claiming it, because he has more chance to motivate THE SHEEP to be wary of it doing that, than he does to lose reputation with anyone who works this out for themselves. Trump is offering himself up for sacrifice in a sense because he is willing to help attract criticism of the vaccine. Those who disagree with Trump's pretended position are against the vaccine will not take it and not be at risk from it for now. But those who might question the vaccine could be put-off if it meant "agreeing with Trump" so Trump cannot be antivax openly.
There is even the chance some will stay away just because he pretends to like it. Kamala even said - "If the vaccine has anything to do with Trump, I ain't taking it"
OK great. So, now someone needs to ensure I'm not forced to "vaccinate" my child. I don't give a shit what Trump does as long as someone is fighting to help us protect our children.
That will only happen over my dead body.
I think the only reason Trump isn't anti-vaccine is that we lose the war with the corrupt criminal elite if he takes that position. I don't think there is any path that can be threaded through this without massive loss of life without taking some casualties among the innocent.
Unlike many people here, I don't think the vaccine is a death sentence. It just kills off or permanently injures a small but unacceptably high number of people if the spike proteins escape from the shoulder muscles.
But my President did speak up about not getting kids vaccinated.

I don't like the red tape being cut but imagine if it wasn't for that.. how much power the evil bastards would have pushed down on us. All 3 houses... Maybe they want to push as many people as possible to get a bad vaccine to blame Trump.. Seems like usual playbook to me. Thank God for receipts!!
Yes, thank you! Excellent description!
Its a test for lefties to see if they still trust the experiment. They dont trust Trump so why are they taking and promoting it?
I think you're right on, but most importantly, he made it clear that it should be an individual choice. That's all we need to hear. We never needed a president to tell us how to think. We needed a president who allowed us to think for ourselves. His pro-vaccine statements used to bug me until I realized that his supporters are able to still support him and still make up their own mind.
Makes sense, but I know one guy who is full-on TDS, yet he and his wife both got injected. It seems that for a lot of people fear of dying (which ultimately happens to all of us no matter what we do) 'trumps' TDS, though maybe this has worked with some.
This is a stretch
Trump isn't pretending about anything. He's always said it is a choice.
OR he wants you dead. I don't believe anyone and Trump is no exception. I feel that we're running out of time.
First, I am not taking it. Second he set up a backchannel to tell me "we are not going to take it". Third he wouldn't have even run in 16, if he wanted me dead, he could have just let Jeb have the nom, Hillary win, and we would all be in a total comms blackout and this website would not even exist.
Trump is saying two thing - one public one backchannel. Believe the backchannel and your own sense. Remember your training.
Your third point actually makes sense
I can tell you from my perspective that Trump’s opinions on just about anything are vanishingly unimportant to me.
I disagree strongly with Trump. That doesn’t mean I feel any obligation whatsoever to mindlessly take positions in direct opposition to Trump.
I take positions on things independent of Trump, based on my own experiences and education.
I often find Trump on the other side of the issue of me. I wasn’t looking for which position he was going to take. I didn’t care. I just notice that whenever I take a position, he happens to be somewhere else in the room.
Which is why I disagree with Trump.
But I have never once in my life researched Donald Trump’s opinion on any issue before deciding where I stood on it.
I don’t think this is unique to me.
My decision to get vaccinated had took absolutely none of Trump’s opinion on the vaccine into account. At all. The only reason I’m even aware of his position is because the news decided to tell us.
