A friend took a test, one day she was positive and the next day not? Almost like the tests were faulty ehh?

I have a friend with at least two co-morbidities and he only spent two nights in the hospital for bacterial pneumonia. When he thought he got Cov a second time he didn't even bother telling anyone as it felt much milder and might have just been a regular cold that time even.
