"Park Police" helicopter commutes from Wilmington to DC every morning and night.
The only time we see Biden at the WH is during press conferences or holidays.

It seems they blame all the closures on covid.
For example week or so ago someone posted a video here showing security guards (at the Treasury dept I think). Guards said everyone was working from home due to the covid.
I don't know for sure in DC, but I work for county govt and I've worked from home for 18 months and coninue to do so even though things are now open. Our courthouse is open, but 80% of social service staff do teleworking from home. We do home visits, but we come and go from our homes and not the office. Working from home has now become permanent for many people.
