We are battling a concerted, incessant barrage of mainstream media, pop culture,
propaganda of every sort to take us down. I have no quick cure. Live with integrity, courage, dedicated to Truth, with love for humanity and your conscience (GOD) as your guide. Do what you can.
I have a high level of self esteem that was borne of my independent perspective and high IQ. I had significant hurdles to get over in my childhood. I was blessed with talent and patience but most of all, an optimistic attitude. This contributed to building confidence in my abilities. I also enjoy most work and thrived on challenges that took years of persistence to accomplish.
I was a professional waiter through college, which paid my tuition. I say this because I waited on just about every A+ lister in the 90's. From Tom Cruise to Tom Hanks, Mel Gibson to Sammy Hagar, Johnny Carson to James Cameron. And not a single time was I in awe of them or nervous. I never thought of it being high self esteem on my part, only that I treated them like I would any other person.
Today, I despise Social Media, do not eat microwave or 'factory' food, have not seen a motion picture in 20 years, never had Netflix, have rejected all professional sports, don't carry a smart phone in my hand all fucking day, don't watch the MSM, aaaaand..
The cabal has been trying to tear people down: ‘Your accomplishments aren’t the result of your effort and talent, they’re because of your privilege. You’re not a citizen of a great country, you’re a colonizer on stolen ground, built through oppression. You’re not an independent thinker, you’re in a qult.’
Maybe the trait you see is Confidence and not Self Esteem. I see some die hard lefties as arrogant and know it all’s. It takes real confidence in yourself to separate yourself from the masses thought control. It is sort of like pulling away from the herd. We take ridicule and being ostracized for daring to think for ourselves. Many in our community feel lonely and only find like minded individuals on this or similar sites. We are rebels with a cause.
Jesus is the answer for this, and all other problems society faces. Ive struggled with self esteem issues, but to understand who Jesus is and what He's done for you is to find self worth and to realize that those feelings of inadequacy are lies from the evil one.
Self-esteem is not a positive thing as you have been led to believe, it's one very short step behind self-love, and one that loves themselves think they can do no wrong.
What you want is self-confidence, self-respect.
That said I can't say really weight in in this, I myself don't have a great deal of self-confidence, largely due to some pretty bad parenting (not that I want to throw blame, it's just how it is), my childhood was nightmarish, ended up growing up to have absolutely no faith in myself.
Yet I can see all this garbage for what it is, it didn't deter my capacity for critical/reflective thinking given by God.
But yeah, that's me, I'm used to being the weird one, wouldn't expect to be a representative of any group.
Learning to love what gifts God gave us and being thankful for what was given to us helps temper this mentality I feel. My potential is great because God is great.
Well, first things first we have to really stop and think about what "Love" means, what we usually connect to this word would actually more aptly be defined as "affection", more often than not of the sensual kind... all of it governed by feelings, which is an animal fact, not really much to do with spirit at all.
If God IS Love, and I believe that to be the case, immediately there is a disconnect, because I really doubt that God IS mere feelingful affection...
Anyway with that said, I would wholly agree with your sentence, if you would only substitute "to love" with "to respect".
Respect from the latin "Respectus" which means literally "to look back", to look back upon yourself, and consider it's place among the whole.
We must Love God (and hopefully someday we'll fully understand what that word concept really means), and we must respect and be thankful to all which was given to us, and really understand that whatever good may come from our actions, it's only really flowing from God.
There are positive and healthy avenues of self renewal and healing out there. Knowing what is noise and and what is designed to keep you feeling low/afraid is a great first step. Finding the invisible enemy and shutting it off.
For me, I struggle with impostor syndrome and low self esteem, but that’s due to years of bad relationships and drinking. I’m still struggling to overcome the guilt of the past, and being mindful and being in the present is actually something I learned through therapy and reading.
Gotta start with yourself; you can’t serve others if your own plate has been bare for too long. It’s when we stabilize ourselves and find that center of love/peace, that we heal ourselves and in turn can heal others.
There is a silly story passed around the internet about a college professor imparting wisdom to his students, but the quote stuck with me. “You all have a little bit of ‘I want to save the world’ in you, and that’s why you’re here. I want you to know it’s ok if you can only save one person. And it is ok if that one person is yourself.”

I HAVE NEVER TRUSTED THE GOVERNMENT
