Apparently (and not surprisingly so) it has been scrapped. Besides blatantly obvious bias from Google, the other reason why I hate Google is they're always bringing out products then a year or two later, they scrape it like Google InBox, Google Wave and some more.
Here's another phone: the Fairphone, but I doubt you can do it like the Project Ara's phone, but the Fairphone makes it easy to repair your phone by just taking one component out and replacing it with the same component like unplugging the old one then plugging a new one in.
I thought PinePhone was a modular phone but I was mistaken.
