Take it for what it's worth, but if you know me I have been around since before Voat - same name. I am pretty low key I think but judge for yourself.
Anyhoo, my husband got a call from his brother, former Commander in the Navy. He is hearing that things are going to get a little crazy in around four weeks and that people should have four weeks of food and water just in case. Be able to sterilize water too. Something to do with panicking deep staters trying to block ports and food supply. This brother is really smart - many engineering patents to his name in his post military civilian career. Retired now but was literally considered intellectual property when his company was bought and sold, etc. The regular Joe brothers tend to think he's a right wing nut, and he is absolutely right wing but so am I so that doesn't really dissuade me. Not gonna lie sometimes I think he's a little out there. But he still has friends in high places and he knows people think he's nuts but feels it's important to share. Thought I should too and let people do what they want. His point is if you spend $600 to stock up and nothing happens, you still have $600 worth of food and water. If you don't and you end up really needing it....you don't.
We are all prepped up. But at the same time, we’ve been hearing this for over a year now, more than a year now. It’s just around the corner… It’s happening… Make sure you have food… Make sure you have water…. And here we are still waiting. All of this is getting so old. All I know is that God is in control, and whatever he’s gonna do he’s going to do. I just wish you would do something. We are prepped up
Don't forget about flashlights just in case the lights go out...
Or even better lanterns/candles
Those would be fun...
When we lose power and we bring out the candles, some people in my family will also bring out the marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers! They know how to make the best out of a situation.
Also the cheap solar lights that you can charge up during the day and bring inside at night to use, produces less heat than candles and less fire risk. And you can recharge them everyday without getting into your battery supply.
That a really good idea, thanks.
I’ve got tons of flashlights lots of batteries and a generator. I also have phone chargers that you can use AA batteries and they’re pretty cool they were from the dollar store for one dollar
Consider it this way, then: You are ready for ANY Emergency situation. If the chicken little crap is getting to you, ignore it. Everyone should have emergency stores/supplies anyway as no one knows what will happen at any given moment.
If you have a stockpile, why worry? =)
I do have a stockpile of whatever it takes to end my life before people start marching off to be deliver! So - your are correct… I am not worried! Everything is taken care of. I don’t need to worry at all actually.
So your plan if there's a natural disaster that cuts off supply lines is suicide? Seems a bit extreme but who am I to judge.
That’s not what I said. I said that if they start taking people to FEMA camps, and torturing people and raping people. Yes suicide would be a much better option for our entire family. No one should have to live in those horrific circumstances, and people should be prepared to relieve their families of that type of a horrific experience. I’m prepared are you?
