It makes sense because it allows people on the left to oppose the vaccine, like Naomi Wolfe, otherwise, it would be pro-vaccine democrats vs anti-vaccine republicans, which is roughly true, but for optics sake, you cannot allow the medias to push this polarization, it would be counter-productive.
