It is in my opinion, not just ‘cooking’ but a culinary rite of passage that will help you connect with all your senses … the heat of fires wood embers, ash in the air, the smell of heated stone, working with your hands, the smell that reminds you of a much simpler time when family, neighbor and friends gathered around the table sharing drink and stories of old, of family, and of angels. Laughter and music.
The key is in the…
Water… fresh from running springs from high up the mountain or from deep wells of the land.
Flour… fresh milled, ancient wheat (not the hybridized stuff) that even angels would use to powder their wings before they ascend towards the sky.
Salt… remember your past — did your forefathers sail the angry oceans, battling sea creatures big and small, perhaps even sparred with serene beings full of sweet song? Then pure sea salt. OR perhaps your ancestors, with leashed grizzly bears, dug deep into the mountains in search of riches, ancient civilizations and perhaps mythical creatures of old? Well then, pure rock salt… from times during the Great Flood.
Oil… in my humble opinion, oil from the olive tree, sacred and humble.
Don’t forget our microbial frens… Yeast, who have been with us since our Father formed and shaped the earth.
This alone is an experience, but what do you put on top??
We are humble folk, thus might I suggest keeping it simple — fresh tomatoes, basil (of course!) and slices of mozzarella.
As a drink, I would suggest something very different … Mead, the drink of warriors.
Fuck that, I love pizza the food, I'm not gonna let them keep that symbolism
My fren! I implore you to make your own pizza.

Enjoy.
Absolutely home made is amazing, I do make my own pizza from time to time, I'll even make the sauce from my fresh organic tomatoes that I grow.
I'm thinking of getting a mini hydroponic kit to grow produce in my teeny apartment
This is the way.
Basilpesto - name checks out.
They can keep their walnut sauce !
No, they can't. We can't allow it
And yet.. you do allow it.
