Vet here, I guess I am a leech for putting my life on pause for 5 years, staying away from my family, missed so many good times, contact with loved ones, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, to travel halfway around the world and work 14-16 hours for a paycheck comparable to a mc-donalds entry level salary while in a hectic and dangerous environment. I didn't ask for any of the benefits, I earned them. The only one I really used was my post 9-11btw, I finished my schooling and re-entered civil society, and private industry work force. So yeah, I guess I am the leech. Feed me your pussy. 😂😂😂
Edit: I love this country and I would do it all over again, great people in the armed forces. Freedom is worth it, even if morons ruin it for everyone else.
I don't mind paying taxes, as long as its a government by and for the people. The fact that anyone is paying taxes after the government was ususrped is a damn shame. I am with you fren, we are all in the same boat.
My husband & son are Vets also. Husband is retired Army. He went to Dessert Storm, to S. Korea, to Haiti and to Cuba. While he was in Dessert Storm I was a few months pregnant with our second child, he came home a month after I gave birth (our son). Son spent his active duty time with the Army out of country, now he's in the NG. Son got his Bachelor's Degree before going in the service, got his Master's Degree & his 2nd level in CrossFit (paid by the Army) so he could be the CrossFit trainer at the base. Now he's home, working, in the NG, he's a purple belt (as is my husband) in Jiu Jitsu and went back to school to further his education using his GI bill. Both are humble men, I'm the one who brags about their accomplishments ;) I'm just a stay at home mom (of 3 who are all grown now) and wife. I held down the fort while hubby was out doing his job.
And you did a great job holding that fort! Your sons accomplishments are yours. God says that the job of a parent is to launch his offspring as far as they can. Good job! Happy to have you guys on our side.
You sound like someone who couldn't make the cut and now whine about others who did.

Sincerely- thank you for your service. Some of us realize the sacrifices you’ve made and appreciate that patriots like you exist.
The fact that you vets are still paying federal taxes is a damned shame.
