This will depend on the states. Judiciary has NO authority over elections at all. Constitutionally, only the state legislatures do. In addition, should three states decertify, it will mean that Biden is no longer legally President so even if it goes to court, he will be illegitimate in either case.

This is the scenario that leads to the military HAVING to get involved. Trump will not be in office but Biden will also not be eligible for office - basically the entire Federal Government will be illegitimate will things are resolved.

Yeah, I'm sure you are right, there is so much I don't know about the fight ahead.

But wouldn't just be in a situation like 2000 with Bush/Gore where we had both sides with lawyers arguing over what ballots should count, and which one shouldn't and if we have these hundreds of thousands of ballots with just "Biden" filled out... then how do we know they aren't real?

I don't know, seems like a mess... but I really hope it gets resolved.
