People are still stealing $1000 or less worth of goods from stores since they won't get punished in these liberal shitholes. No riots required. They're simply walking into the store with bags and grabbing whatever they want then walking out. I actually think they're taking more than $1000 since no one is checking or stopping them. Left wing policies in action. Don't even think for a second that this isn't exactly what they wanted. Small businesses close and big corporations expand. More real estate and market share for them for the big guy.
If it was my store I would sell everything for over $1000 that way if you steal it, it's now considered grand theft. Here's the twist, if you're a legit customer and you're there to make a legit purchase I offer a discount at the register marking it down to the appropriate price.
The company i work for is national, and has shops in some states that require a yearly safety inspection. I think its a law that because they're certified to do those inspections, they have to be willing to do them on any customers vehicle that comes up and requests it. They get around having to mess with anything not part of our fleet with a sign saying the hourly shop rate is 1,000 an hour at the front door.
