I live 10 miles away in the same county. Hamilton County IN. We are the test bed for CRT in Indiana. You can research and find this, but Eli Lilly (HQ in Indiana) gave Fishers School system $2.1M for Equity programming and CRT. There are groups fighting it everywhere. We went to a mtg this past week, the "fighters" are growing in numbers and strength. It really sucks, but, people are standing up...like this lady. Noblesville is worse, they are hiding it, not letting people gather at school board mtgs and basically denying everything, even though there is proof. The union is a total piece of shit, protecting this whole thing. It's a battle. But we are going to win.
Will they break with the teacher's union? When the school board stops negotiating with the union, it'll mean citizens have control again. I'm sure many good teachers will be happy to do so.
That is a long story. Short answer, no under current conditions. We were also a leader in the common core program (the precursor to this shit). Many of the "old style" teachers got out, moved to private or whatever. Then the little sheeple started coming out of college, nice and brainwashed with the SJW programming. They replaced the ones that left or were fired. Now we head into this generation with 3 groups; 1) Old school sheep, that went along for decades because they are lazy. 2) new school brainwashed sheep 3) a very small % of teachers that toughed it out, just kept their mouths shut, very few of them will speak publicly. The school boards have been infiltrated. Superintendents are very high paid here, money county, they are puppets and part of the political landscape. As I stated Eli Lilly gave these folks $2.1. It's all money and power, even in our schools. The citizens will need to bust this shit show up by making serious noise, pulling kids and continuing to "show up". Anyway, likely more than you wanted to know, but helps me to get it off my chest.
Yeah, you have to fight the fight you're in. I understand that.
I appreciate the response. It's a similar situation in most places, with the percentages of old teachers vs new varying significantly. It's not easy ever, but it's the only solution if we want public schools at all. It's revolting how reliably and brazenly shameless the teachers can be (not all) with politicizing the kids whenever they can.
Private schooling is a useful escape for those with enough income, but abandoning the schools and the taxpayer money to those who can't afford to flee just allows the problems to fester. Vouchers are a good way out of the problem, but the unions and admins fight those tooth and nail behind closed doors as well. (Chile is the only country I know of with no public education; they manage alright, although there's a lot to be said for well-managed public schools.)
Public sector unions are a pet issue of mine, which is why I brought up that angle. Unions are a good check against abusive employers in the private sector, but that doesn't hold in the government sector. It's clear that for any public service, unionizing the employees is a recipe for corruption of one type of another.
It's a bad situation, but encouraging that folks are rising up. Keep fighting the good fight!
Lake County, IN here also in a top 10 school district fighting with two days advanced notice of a mandatory return to masking for ALL elementary students regardless of state levels (currently lowest).
I put together a binder of scientific studies why masking doesn’t help mitigate the spread of C19 and in many ways, harms them. They voted to approve the plan not 10 minutes after I presented it. Pro Mask Parents Present: 1 Anti: 10. They.Dont.Care.
Rationale is, can’t socially distance cause we’re packed 27+ students per class. Elementary kids can’t get vaxxed. No cases? Doesn’t matter - can’t risk THE DAYS OF OF SCHOOL. Is that translation for funding? Help me out. The next meeting is a week from Monday, I’ve organized about 70 families on Facebook but some are spys. I’m not certain how many will actually show to protest before board meeting. Voices won’t overturn their logical fallacy that masks mitigate spread - what will? -Maskless in Munster
Keep going, ultimately the board will do what they’ve always wanted to do, but they never expect resistance or parents to stand up to their crap. They need to feel the heat … eventually normie parents will notice and will slowly stand up to this crap.
Keep fighting the good fight… you know you’re always right!
Great idea on the book!!!! Schools have a 180 day requirement, I believe this is a federal requirement. They build in make up days for snow and crap. I'm not sure of all the consequences, but all I hear from teachers (wife used to be a teacher, so we have teacher friends) is "you have to do 180 days...period". This is why they go long some years by a day or so. I'll try to remember to ask one this weekend and see if they know. I only find the requirements and guidelines for 180 on the DOE, but cannot find the punishment for not meeting it. I asked my wife and she was not sure, "it had to be done". Keep up the good fight!! WWG1WGA!
Both in laws are teachers, I will ask them - they live in that all blue state next door. Thank you for your response. I wish I could somehow rent a Mob like our buddy George Soros…my group is becoming discouraged and we’ve only begun to fight.
Yes, Fishers. Schools System is HSE, Hamilton South Eastern. Hamilton County is the hot bed, center of the CRT initiative in Indiana. We suck badly. There is a country school holding its own. But the city / town schools are shear dog shit. We have shit like clear RHINO ex-mayors wife serving on the school board. He retired and basically picked the next mayor, his little bitch puppet. Politics and our school systems are having social justice sex behind the scenes and liberal companies behind the scenes are funding the shit show with grants and other "gifts". It all needs torn down.

Thank you fren for the reply and agree 1,000% in regards to the union issue. We're going to win, we all are. Take care.
Any teacher who won't give up the commie union shouldn't work.
