It bothers me enormously to have to admit it but that is very much true for a whole lot of LEOs. Not all mind you, but enough to make this a very real possibility in way too many parts of the country.

This is what the deep state wants too. Dead cops and lone wolves. That way they can come for our guns with no resistance from the electorate.
