In my youth, I had over 30 mercury-zinc amalgam fillings. Probably one of the reasons for my (thankfully mild) immune disorders now. I had them all removed and replaced with (hopefully) less toxic plastic resin compound.
As for vaccines, I recall tetanus at least twice plus something on a sugar cube (polio?) and a circle of dots on my upper arm (smallpox?)
No wonder that I'm full of sh;t! ;-)
drilling out amalgam fillings releases a shitload of mercury during the procedure. Your probably better off leaving them alone until if and when they fail, then replace them with non amalgam. Or you could just extract the tooth with the amalgam filling intact, then go for an implant. Or leave the space.
So what about the regular “incompetent” dentists who sit right above their patients and drill out old amalgam fillings all day? They’re using an air-driven, water-cooled high speed handpiece to do so. They will always at least be using a local high volume evacuator for suction. If the amount of aerosolized mercury from the removal of these fillings is of clinical significance, we should see those regular dentists develop some sort of illness (neurological, neuromuscular, immune) at a significantly higher rate than either the general population or than the “competent” dentists who don their space suits and respirators and use their special filters. Maybe they do... but I certainly haven’t seen it be an issue. Seems like a great marketing strategy to me- tell everyone that their existing work is poisonous so they’ll pay a boatload of money for new composite fillings (look up BPA in composites if you’re bored), e.Max or zirconia crowns, or porcelain implants (what’s the problem with medical grade titanium?). Some people possibly benefit from the removal of old silver fillings. Those people probably have a hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients in the fillings. Many include nickel... and 10% of women have a nickel hypersensitivity. Some people had shitty root canals done with insufficient obturation or missed canals (it’s always MB2) or developed a vertical root fracture. But I highly doubt the vast majority of people benefit from having all of their old work replaced, at great cost.
Based dentist
Well, that's what the damned root canals do. Doesn't leave many choices.
It's so sad that it's a "conspiracy" to heal your teeth. I've had success in the past healing a cavity, but if you say that to a dentist their brain will glitch.
My family has ectodermal dysplasia and very severe dental problems because of it. I've always had weak enamel and teeth that just break apart or rot out or get infected no matter what dentists advice I follow or how well. I eventually got so frustrated with painful teeth I started using only peroxide as a mouth wash and baking soda as toothpaste. The first year of my life I didn't have any cavities or problems so the dentist asked what I used. When I told him he immediately advised against it! Hahaha.
Do you feel better after having this done? Because I routinely feel like shit and had a lead level of 1 years ago during a routine test
I had all my fillings removed and replaced too. First you need a dentist that uses ozone and no antibiotics. My functional medicine MD had me find a dentist that is IAOMT certified because they are trained in looking for cavitations which traditional dentists don’t believe in because most are trained to just drill and bill. If you ever had root canals which I did, I had them pulled and replaced with porcelain implants. You can search the database here: https://iaomt.org/for-patients/search/
Excellent info, thank you for sharing
I've been thinking porcelain or ceramic implants..........now, if only I had some funds......very expensive procedures.
Horribly expensive and takes a long time. There may be other options. I’d consider temporary partials or bridges although bridges can cause bone erosion where a pulled tooth is So check all pros and cons.
THIRTY!? And I thought having 4 in my long-gone baby teeth was bad. Did you have an issue with weak enamel or are my adult teeth just unusually strong?
The issue may have been not brushing properly.
How do you feel now? Did the removal help with your auto-immune symptoms?
not the original commenter but I have done this and he is right about the proper methodology used for good results. Also, you must do heavy dose vitamin C preferrably liposomal C for 1 week before and 2 months after along with good metal detox supplements. A good holistic dentist should know this already. If they don't find someone who does.
