I think that’s what he’s saying - he can no longer encourage following public health directives because “[our response to] delta variant is unsupported by data”. He’s saying he isn’t seeing any evidence that the public health directives/responses in regards to a “delta variant” have any basis in fact. There is no data to support its existence.
