No, if you quit, there is no recourse or remedy for it. Getting fired allows far more options. These deputies have sworn an oath to serve and protect and to uphold the laws of the land. The deputies have no obligation to enforce unconstitutional 'guidance' policy.
To hit those numbers you need to be LIVING at work for OT. But yes I agree, several of my friends are cops too and the ones who hit that 100k are usually working an extra 30-40 hours a week in OT alone. They are also the ones who usually end in divorce and have their kids taken because they are never home. Its not that common. And to be fair, you can have the same lifestyle / work that many hours by just being a truck driver and not have half the country trying to hurt you / want to see you in jail.
