I've seen a few posts that have been new info to me today. Those particular posts had comments about it being old news. Berating the poster. Basically trying to make the OP look or feel stupid. Just because you know info doesn't mean everyone else does. Posts move along quickly and are easily missed. I'm on here several times a day and i miss tons of posts. Sure, if it's incorrect lets fix that, hell that can even be done politely. If you know, don't be an ass, just move on.
Perhaps this is the new liberal shill tactic! Make posters feel stupid so they fear posting again. Seems like a libtard thing to do. Damn we need more golden rule in the world!
I'll step off my soap box now. Cue libtard attacks....
Its standard internet forum gatekeeping. You gotta learn to ignore it. You're going to find it everywhere you go, no matter what: petty people with more time on their hands than they should have available who see everything the instant its new, and ONLY want new stuff to be shared and somehow think people will just use the search feature to find literally everything. When not everyone even knows what to look for. Don't worry about these people, they know they suck and everyone hates them. Don't give them any more power than they already think they have, it just makes them worse.
Weeds flourish if you yell at them, blowing your CO2 on them. Instead of yelling, starve them of that life-giving CO2, and they die on the vine.
Rip them up by the roots.
