I've seen a few posts that have been new info to me today. Those particular posts had comments about it being old news. Berating the poster. Basically trying to make the OP look or feel stupid. Just because you know info doesn't mean everyone else does. Posts move along quickly and are easily missed. I'm on here several times a day and i miss tons of posts. Sure, if it's incorrect lets fix that, hell that can even be done politely. If you know, don't be an ass, just move on.
Perhaps this is the new liberal shill tactic! Make posters feel stupid so they fear posting again. Seems like a libtard thing to do. Damn we need more golden rule in the world!
I'll step off my soap box now. Cue libtard attacks....
Definitely, but there's more to it. Here's how I've seen it explained. Maybe part of it is some people who go through life getting bullied, shut down, spit on and shit on,...maybe they're physically awkward, not strong or good at fighting, so IRL they have to just take it, but with the internet, poof! Magically they can release the pressure valve without placing themselves in physical danger. They can finally make their stand and have their voice heard. Their inner fighter never died, it just lay dormant, and now it comes out with a vengeance, ready to behead the first person who challenges them. I think maybe in a few decades people will get it out of their system, and civility will win the day. Hopefully!
Well stated. You hit the nail on the head.
It is even more than that. Before the internet, you were allowed to speak your mind in person because most people didn't usually physically fight over opinion. If they did it wasn't to the death like most attempt these days, and after, nobody got canceled for their opinion.
2 wrongs don't make a right!
Yes and I didn't say it was right, or wrong
