I'm glad he has something to do when he retires, or else he will feel the itch to get back into it in one fashion or another.
Yeah I hope it gets figured out soon also.
When my husband retired I guess he thought he was done with it, but felt like his experience was going to waste sitting around the house, and he's always been active. He wanted to make a difference in the community, so went back into it with local agency, more hands on in the community. He doesn't really have skills outside of LE & military. We had thought of opening up a shooting range when he first retired, but finding land away from neighborhoods in county and the more he thought of things that had to be done (like environmental stuff because of the bullets & shells), he changed his mind. He was going to do weapons training, even thought of setting up scenarios, so law enforcement agencies & military could train. I keep telling him he can still do the weapons training, but without our own range not much he can do. Because some of the other ranges already have classes set up & don't know if they would take kindly to him using their ranges to do his own training all the time. So started a t-shirt printing business, that never got off the ground (different things happened at same time), but still have all the equipment (printer, heat press & accessories, some shirts, bags, koozies). I dabble in graphics a bit but I'm not good at making my own from scratch stuff, I usually get free graphics or buy them and change them up with other graphics, add text. I'm working on a Q graphic, but takes time, because nothing ever seems good enough, lol.
