So Jim Jinkins, creator of Doug, also made a stop animation cartoon for pre-schoolers called JoJo's Circus. I never watched it because it was geared to such a young age, but I always thought the main character's design and claymation were beautifully done.
I just looked Jim up again. His first studio was that egg logo Jumbo Pictures. His new studio that worked on younger pre-school and Sesame Street work is called Cartoon Pizza.
