I hate to say it, but the same people that shouldn't own power tools, probably should steer clear of firearms. I don't know why some people are so maladroit, they just are. I've seen military members who are just not safe with weapons in general. Even with training on safety, I think they just can't concentrate for very long before they forget what they are doing and do something dangerous.
