Bro, I was a jazz performance major before I realized there's no money to be made. I can name at least 200 musicians more influential than GD.
Thin Lizzy. I hear a lot of bands copying their sound but I don't hear a lot of people copying the GD, I'm probably wrong, and I'm definitely biased because I like Thin Lizzy a lot more than I do GD.
Wow, really? They've had a huge influence on rock. I'm honestly surprised that you haven't.
I think you might like this one.

Michael Jackaon lol. Mozart. Fuck, Andrew Lloyd Weber. Miles Davis. Chick Corea. Grand Funk Railroad. BTO. Chicago. Beach Boys. Beetles. CCR. Touch of Grey is shit. Come on, man.
yeah but the GD following wasn't primarily about the quality of music. It was about hoodwinking and entraining a generation into thinking they were part of a grassroots subculture that would bring cosmic change when in fact it was social engineering applied to pitting generations against each other, and putting an ethos and happy face to being self absorbed and numbed from reality (i.e. socially useless). No mystery why Dead is in their name.
I don't know what this post is about but, for the record, I listened to Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention. (Saw them live, once.) Also Captain Beefheart, King Crimson, Savoy Brown, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix, The Eagles, Carly Simon, The Bee Gees, 10cc, Black Sabbath, Cream, Blind Faith, Dr Hook, Fleetwood Mac, Free, Elton fucking John (before he "came out"), Pretenders, Queen, Santana and ... too many to remember.
Do I get any brownie points?
You're an idiot. Thriller is the top grossing album ever (still). To say MJ didn't have the following the GD has shows your brain was fried, bro. Good luck.
BB King.
