Having surgery today, second one in the last week. At this time I don't need blood. I will no longer accept blood products as those that have had the covid shot can donate blood and there is no distinction. I am not getting the shot for a lot of reasons and I'd rather not come out of surgery having gotten it de facto by a transfusion. I will still accept donations from my "unvaxxed" family if the time comes, my MDPOA is aware and will address it if it becomes an issue.
