The doomer & negative comments I see here lately are mostly from trolls. Do not engage they get paid for engagements. Move on, block or deport whatever you want to do
But to those that aren't bots & trolls.... please understand your role and your mission. This is war, war sucks and it ain't for everyone
If you can't be patient, stay on task and want to go back to sleep, that's your choice. But don't expect to coddled and sung a lullaby by people here.
If you turn off stuff being revealed to you because blah blah you've heard it all before, you're going to miss stuff. It's like passing up a great book because it's words and you already know words. Or a tasty treat because you know food.
If you can't be patient, positive and receptive at least be quiet.
It's ok to take a break, it's ok to not understand stuff. It's ok to have feelings. Not every thought that enters your mind needs to be said out loud.
It's not okay to fail our mission.
Your attitude & words matter
I can guarantee you that if the war turns "Hot", many that are now here would volunteer and gladly put their lives on the line, me included.
But for now this is the front, and if one can't even handle this, imagine if it did go hot...
Basically you're saying that in war, unless you're soldier in the frontlines you aren't doing anything meaningful? what about people taking care of logistics? what about people doing the recon work? what about people doing the research? what about people doing all the comms? they don't matter at all huh?
who's being disrespectful here?
I’d love to step up and serve.
Almost signed up.
Then I figured out what a lot of vets went through - especially where vaccinations are concerned - I saw the effects of families being separated, heard about the affairs, by both those serving and by the spouses left at home, and how all the years our soldiers spent in the Middle East only led to something even worse, for the people there as well as here.
I decided it isn’t for me.
I could never participate in a war I’m unwilling to fight, and I could never surrender my ability to choose what jabs I get, I could never stand seeing an inept officer who only got their position because of a college degree, and I could never stand the need to rub hands and suck up to get better positions.
Lower and lower standards seem to be accepted in exchange for “free college,” and Merit isn’t rewarded like it should be. That scares me.
I’ve known a lot of people in the military, and I’m sincerely afraid for our National Security.
Where in my post did I ever use the word "upset"? and what part of it was me "being defensive"? I simply posed questions.
I was only responding to your, quite moronic, point, because that was the tone in which you spoke: "Are you a boot in the ground?!?! no?!?! so STFU!!".
You were soldier, that's great, thanks for your service, but to think that it would be in any way degrading to soldiers for civilians to believe they are doing their part in any conflict, is again, moronic.
If there is a soldier who feels that way, then this person is not serving, they're self-serving, because they require everyone else to look at them while they serve, and treat them differently, a true server just serves, they don't require anything in return.
This is what we have, this is all we can do right now, you might , or might not believe me when I say I would gladly grab a rifle and charge at the enemy, I really don't give a fuck.
Absolutely not. You can say a lot of things about me but saying I want everyone to be beneath me is fucking stupid...
I just want the proper respect to be paid to the people that actually earned it.
You’re no different than a liar who claims to have climbed a mountain they never climbed, won an award they didn’t work for, claimed something that wasn’t rightfully theirs... that’s a big difference then wanting someone to be beneath me, especially considering the military’s NUMBER ONE GOAL is to protect the liberties and freedoms of civilians...
Yeah you’re beneath me it was just my entire job to place you on a pedestal. That’s the stupidest argument I’ve ever heard...
Where did I ever say I was talking about you? and what mountain did I say I climbed? I never mentioned serving the military, or anything else.
If you believe a civilian who considers and values their part in a war is a liar, then you have some issues to work through.
here's what I said:
If you identify with that, it's on you.
You're clearly hurting so I'm not going to say anything else, I suggest you look for some professional help.
