Why didn’t you also take the time to gain more valuable skills so you didn’t have to go back to the crap restaurant? Basically every industry has been on a hiring spree of anyone who will show up. You don’t make much money working at a crap restaurant because it is not a valuable or difficult thing to do. There are a lot of great things that can be done in the world, especially with your new found health and physical fitness. Now it’s time to workout your brain and break the cycle.
Good idea. What should I do. I'm pretty built and a good worker. There are tons opportunities in my city but they all pay really crap wages (similar to the Subway job I work at) I want to make more to support my family though. I'm a hard worker like way better then others. What would you recommend.
Construction. It's a myth that the illegals are working for below minimum wage, driving the price below union rates is not the same thing. Even the guy sweeping the floors is making at least 1.5x minimum wage, usually.
What is with a everyone recommending union jobs? There are tons of good paying union jobs in my area and lots of postings for them. But I would never accept one because I dont believe in socialism even if it results in higher pay for my family and more economic freedom for me. How is that any different then accepting a handout, (which I did for a year). I'm looking for a good non educated non union career
Anyone who works for a union is a commie in my eyes even if I'm jealous of your pay and benefits.
Let's not forget that communism was started in workers unions. The marxists have been infiltrating unions for generations, thats why Trump's deregulation was so effective at fighting global communism.
I can understand that, good for you. I started a janitorial company 25 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Freedom, I work for who I want. I specialize in healthcare. Go to a large janitorial supply and do sales or equipment repair for a year or so and you will get the knowledge to start your own. Experienced janitorial equipment repair guys are sought after. However this will only work in a medium to large market, not so much in small town America...just my two pennies...
Yes, Construction. Learning a trade is fun and great workout. Doesn’t mean just carpentry. Try Electrical Apprentice. Work towards Journeyman then your NEC License. Goals set 👍🏽

See my comment below about good paying union jobs. I'd rather accept welfare from my own taxes then work for the ccp.
HVAC, electricians, and plumbers have unions with apprenticeship programs, hard workers move up pretty quickly. Call the local in your area.

You said you were reading the Bible, so pray and ask God for guidance regarding work. He designed you with something in mind.
