[Healing properties of honey and Nigella sativa Honey has been reported to have beneficial effects against many viruses, including herpes simplex virus (HSV), rubella virus, Hepatitis virus, and Varicella Zoster virus. It is also effective against many multidrug-resistant bacterial strains, especially when used along with antibiotics. In addition to its immunity-boosting effects that stimulate innate as well as adaptive immune responses, honey has been shown to be beneficial in fighting upper respiratory tract infections.
Nigella sativa is a medicinal plant commonly known as Black Cumin and has been proven to have anti-viral properties against many viruses, including mouse cytomegalovirus and HCV. In vitro studies have shown that it can decrease the replication of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV). Some of its components have a high affinity to many SARS-CoV-2 proteins and enzymes.](https://www.news-medical.net/news/20201108/Study-suggests-honey-and-Nigella-sativa-expedites-viral-clearance-in-COVID-19-patients.aspx)

Fabulous news! I just downloaded the original journal article on this topic here:

I have long had a hobby of cooking Indian curries for my family even though I'm not from that part of the world.... this meant Nigella sativa was already in the pantry. Going to try it with some honey today!
On a day with so much bad news, this was very uplifting. Big thanks to Tellstruth for sharing.
No... no... NO!
Do research before you just follow random shit on the internet.
The Cumin in your spice rack is Cuminum cyminum.
Nigella sativa is actually FENNEL!
Hmm... well I do consume fennel on a regular basis too but the seeds I was referring to are these: https://thesourcebulkfoods.com.au/shop/herbs-spices/nigella-seeds/.
The exchange I was having with Tellstruth was not based on 'random Internet shit', but on the following academic article:

There was a health Ranger episode (I'm pretty sure it was him). Anyway, fennel seeds were put into a Espresso Machine to do the extraction.
Fennel seeds have indeed been used to help deal with Covid over the past several months. They contain a type of acid that helps prevent platelets from coagulating in the blood vessels.
Nigella sativa is another seed that also helps deal with Covid, but by different means.
Ooo, star anise too. That's why the FDA is back trying to control the use of herbs and supplements pretty much any food that has nutritional properties. Their evil is staggering.
Their list is really long & has parsley on it.
Found it.

Fennel is Foeniculum vulgare, not Nigella Sativa.
There is an awful lot of misinfo about what Kalonji really is. Its said to be from the Ranunculacea family which are mainly buttercups. The confusion comes from name of the plant which is called the fennel flower plant, but fennel isn't Nigella Sativa at all.
I thought it was Love in a Mist but that is Nigella Damascena which is also in the Ranunculacea family.
Thank you!
Stupid question, but can black cumin be bought over the counter?
Yes. Black Seed is said to cure everything except death. I use to grind the Black Seeds fine and mix with almond butter, honey, cinnamon or heart healthy cocoa powder, sometimes a little turmeric. Sometime adding shredded coconut or dates or nuts or candied ginger. Roll into balls and enjoy one every day.
Now I take a spoon of just the oil before my first sip of coffee in the morning. A teaspoon before bed will have you sleeping like a rock.
It is incredible stuff. You can order the seeds, or the oil in capsules or bottle.
Thanks!
I think it's what my mother in law takes to stop her multiple myeloma from returning. She has confounded all the doctors by living so long.
She ran to the vax though. Maybe the black seed will save her from it.
It's a culinary staple for Asian food, alternative names are Blackseed, Klowunji seeds and probably something on top of that. Available at every well-equipped condiment section and eco store. Oil is more potent and available at the same places.
Yes. In some grocery stores. health food, and ethnic (middle east and Asian). Purchase online.
Its called Kalonji and you can get it on eBay.
Did you guys see that French TV interview with the president of Madagascar? He says his country is using artemesia to treat the WuFlu with great success. I wonder if he'll soon be assassinated too...
Bless you for this post Tellstruth.
I have been taking Kalonji and raw honey for about 7 years now and while it hasn't stopped my cancer or emphysema it has given me more energy.
The trouble is that I don't know how to use it correctly and can't find out which method of application is best for any particular ailment, there are so many competing ways of applying it.
If anyone can point me to some tried and tested ways of applying it I would greatly appreciate it, as would my lungs, heart, feet and joints.

Everyone be aware, the Cumin in your cupboard is Cuminum cyminum, not the above one.
Nigella sativa is actually FENNEL!
Please see my post above.
