Humans seek "security" first. If a person "feels insecure".

They will give up things in return for security.

After they feel secure. Then they will seek the freedom to live the life they want.

So saying stuff like

"We are fighting for freedom and against tyranny".

Will not work for people who feel insecure.

The deep state is good at countering the freedom and tyranny message. They understand to speak to basic human nature first. They are good at saying. Who cares about being free when you aren't safe first.

This is why Dr. F has said. We can do social events "later" on. He is talking about basic human needs first.

One thing the left is good at. They are good at "framing" messages towards basic human needs.

Consersatives tend to speak over security and straight to freedom.

If we want to counter the deep state's message.

We need to focus on security first.

It is not "safe" to give power to people with guns, tanks, missles, etc. In the time of distress. We need our family and communities to keep us safe. Not some group with dangerous guns. All the gov can do. Is use guns and fines to make people do stuff. That is unsafe to me.
