My theory for why their "religion" decrees this...the men are AFRAID of women. This all speaks to how they fear a woman's power.

In all my years (12) in MidEast the most intelligent “normal” Arabs or Persians treated their wives like Angels. It’s the less educated majority in their cultures that subjugates their women PER SHARIA Laws.
