You can meet God,come near God,be recognised as his own and known by God but I think you could not fully "know" God.
And every time people claim they "know" God,they really DESCRIBE God it is not really him but his image done by man (that could indeed lead man to him,but also can not) , and as those images are not PERFECT and NOT SO DIVINE like God is they are REFLECTIONS of him NOT HIMSELF.
Believe in God, not Religion.
And where I would have to seek God if there is nowhere allowed to see reflection of him ? He is NOT me.
Sadly I have noticed most here don't do much research into the Divine outside of Sunday Services.
you could not fully "know" God.
A hundred bagillion percent correct. I find it laughable how people claim to know the Will of an omnipotent all powerful being that exists outside of our existence... allegedly. What you "know" is what He reveals to you and that's it. It's fine to keep researching and learning, but to "know" God will take an eternity.
Jesus also came to earth for that exact reason.....to know God. Excuses don't cut it. The tenets of the Christian "religion" formed the foundation of our country. Read the founding documents; stop listening to the postmodernists, liars.
While it is being continuation of Byzantine Church itself and mostly known as "popular in Russia" (well in fact it isn't Russian-only or Russian owned) it is one of most important Christian Churches, and it is embracing tradition as holy,as as useful as bible being way directing man to God.
But as I am not theologist I not fucking understand the difference on that level.
All I found those difference is result of different interpretations of Christ nature related to Christ being birth by Mary, but it is purely theologic/philosophic at this level. Stupid Greek philosophers idea that God have "nature" or "natures" binding and describing him simply when he just IS. It is like those shit which was made division with roman catholicism and orthodoxy about role of holy spirit - in fact pointless philosophy probably caused by gnostic poisoning.
Tradition is useless without God
Exactly! Two pillars: God and liberty.
Well then you are for sure protestant or roman catholic.
Knowing God and being Religious are not synonymous.
Believe in God, not Religion.

Presumptuous and pedantic.
Nothing you said was claimed. It was a simple message you dont need religion to follow God.

That's kinda like saying:
Well then you are for sure either a male or a female.
Oh really ? So you claim Christianity ends with Roman Catholicism and Protestantism ?
So what is it ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Orthodox_Church

By the way there is also less known one example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coptic_Orthodox_Church_of_Alexandria
