Thanks for the info. I'm not talking about illegal orders though. I'm just talking about daft orders. I personally would find it very hard to 'follow orders' from someone who I believe is making a bad decision, or even someone who is not in the field and therefore, not fully comprehending the situation. Obviously, lots and lots of people don't have a problem following orders. And if you have complete trust and confidence in your command, that makes sense.
There is such a thing as illegal orders which you are not compelled to carry out. Just be ready to defend yourself in military court.
