Frens, with the Pfizer approval, we've entered a new stage. People will begin to get fired.
Employers now have substantially MORE legal standing to require vaccination due to the approval. DO NOT QUIT. They must FIRE you for you to have any standing for legal action.
I suspect they will start with the schools and hoapitals. Then move to domestic air travelers, then to retail/F&B employees.
Stand strong. This is a major escalation in our war to freedom. We cannot be jabbed due to fear of losing our incomes. It may happen to many. You may not make ends meet. Stand strong.
Our Founders sacrificed their fortunes - knowing full well that if they weren't successful they would not only bankrupt their families, but would also be hung and unable to support their families.
We must be willing to risk it all for principle - then and only then will we be delivered.
Stay strong. Get frugal. Save what you can.
Being in NYC, I am beginning to suspect that those of us who are done with this crap are being drowned out by the screaming authoritarian banshees.
It's possible that the weather was to blame for it, but this past weekend seemed to be filled with fewer people waiting in line to get into some venues that had long lines prior to the mandate taking effect.
Mind giving us a boots on the ground report? Are placed really requiring it? How are you personally operating?
I have not been to a restaurant or fitness studio since the mandate took effect, only grocery stores (which aren't covered in the mandate, unless the grocery store also has indoor dining).
But I've walked by many restaurants and fast casual dining spots and I haven't seen anyone at the doors checking for proof.
I also haven't seen any signs in the windows or on the doors saying, "proof of vaccine required" in the same way that they did for masks.
Then again, full enforcement doesn't take effect until mid Sept.
I have heard from people that prior to any mandates, there were a handful of bars and restaurants requiring proof of vaxx to enter. Someone I know, who is double vaxxed but lost her card, was turned away from a bar in the East Village prior to any discussion of mandates, because the bouncer at the door was being a nazi about it.
The places requiring proof of vaxx prior to deblasio mandating them were basically virtue signaling. Now they have a reason to be smug about it.
Wow, thank you, appreciate the thorough response. I’m in Chicago and they just reinstituted masks, my guess is they won’t lower that until vaccine mandates are in place. Crazy times.
What’s your plan? Try to Ride it out or flee?
Tbh I believe that no city is safe from this authoritarian bullshit. The fda approval was accelerated in order to justify mandates. So there's no truly safe place to run to.
Also, the epicenter for the industry I work in is NYC, and any other location where I could find work would be another deep blue leftie city.
i have to believe we're about to reach a precipice and that the tide will eventually turn. I don't think it's going to be easy or fun to watch, though. Because just as we think it can't get any worse, we see a 'hold my beer' moment.
The biggest concern I have is that we're all too comfortable in this country. When are we going go the way of France or Italy and take to streets en masse to demand an end to all of this? The assholes running these cities and states don't fear the people they supposedly work for, and that's a problem. And why should they since they know their positions are safe as long as dominion machines keep electing them and the media keep lying for them.
