Rasmussen weights to D+2 for likely voters but we all know their's probably 6 to 7 points of built in Democrat fraud. So knock that 46 down to say 41. Normally I'd agree with you. But Rasmussen has been held in high regard by the .WIN community since they gave the most accurate Trump polls back when everyone else had him down by double digits prior to the election. So this is disheartening.
Assuming that Rasmussen has maintained a stable sampling methodology, I think what's going on here is that there's a fairly limited hardcore group of "true believers," who won't change their minds for anything. (Bet they all have 2 & 3 vaxxs too!) It's comforting to see a significantly larger group who are really hating on Ole Joe. The people who are in the center ("approve," "disapprove," and "don't know") are probably quite whishy-washy about things in the outside world and will change their minds fairly easily.
Right, there's about 25% who don't feel strongly either way, so I guess I'm expecting more of them to jump on "strongly disapprove" after the Taliban debacle but it doesn't look like ANY did.

Yes, I too would love to see accurate numbers that might give a proxy to speed at which the people afe "waking up", but that's going to be difficult. Because not only were their starting Approval numbers absolutely bogus, but as you pointed out, that almost-zero Approval delta over one of the most outrageously damning weeks an American president has ever had is just so stupidly beyond belief.
Fairly certain this is correct. From what I understand, the only category in which Biden has positive numbers (above 50%) is in how Covid has been handled. Most of that perception is from the MSM circlejerking over vaccine distribution and how everything is going so much better under Biden. That will definitely start to tank as Biden is forced to side with teacher's unions on forced masks and vax for kids

They had another poll earlier in the year that said if the election were held today, 45 percent of people would've voted for Biden and Trump respectively. A week ago, they conducted the same poll, and Trump was at 43, and Biden 37. Independents and his base have been consistently losing support
