There's more than one way to de-fur a feline. This is a serious slap in the face to all the restaurant owners, and the sort of thing that eventually causes something to give.
I'm a cat lover from way back. I grew up with cats and, except when I was in college and then later in a job that required nearly 100% travel, I've always had cats. De-fur can mean brushing them to eliminate shedding fur, or cutting off the knots of fur some long-coated cats get under their front legs, or shaving them if their coats are extremely matted. So I use 'de-fur the feline' from this perspective as a reference the other horrid expression, and I'm sure you know the one I mean.

this is why Western Civilization continues to thrive and is the greatest EVA...
Voted you up for the second sentence, but de-fur a feline is not something I endorse. (cat lover)

Ahh, that explains it. I recant! (once owned a long haired cat myself.!)
