Dog is 'God' or god spelled backwards in English.

Also 'Anubis' (Egyptian mysticism & occult) is the Greek name of the 'god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs, and the Underworld', in ancient Egyptian religion, usually depicted as a canine or a man with a canine head.' (wiki)

And July/August ['hot' Q = 'sere' = Sirius (+ srs > soros?)] is the Heliacal Rising of Sirius / Isis (the 'Dog Star'), prelude to the flooding of the Nile in Egypt.
