I have an earthquake app I've had for about a year. It sends me an alert if it sees an earthquake anywhere in the world at 5.5 of above. I would get alerts most every day a month ago and before. But recently near zero. DUMB destruction winding down? Anyone else notice this?

Hope we are nearing the end
5.5 you say? Interesting.
I hadn't thought about that! Kek!
If you want to keep up with absolutely everything as far as seismic activity, follow dutchsense on youtube.
I know nothing about this topic, but standard diagnostic thinking would suggest that you need to check you app results against other sources to see if they show similar results. For example, did ever quake over 5.x that registered here, also show alert on your app?
For example: Yesterday. Did you get alert on this? Magnitude: 5.1 Time (UTC): 08/29/2021 19:29 UTC M 5.2 - 9 km NNE of Pinalejo, Honduras
I was getting a lot of notices on mine as well (set to 4.0 and up), particularly in the South Sandwich Islands most at the same depth of 6-6.2 miles with Magnitudes of 4.5-7.1 almost every few hours. Genedecode mentions depth in relation to Dumbs just not recalling what they were.
I have heard their is a relation to sunspots/flares as well
