It's the system that's going to break

He's most likely been tapped by you know who and it putting this on as part of the show.

You don't just up and one day decide you're gonna fight the system and then after putting out a video that was not even anything bad or insubordinate and then start quoting Jefferson after the initial fallout...

This is calculated. He's likely protected and more likely taking his knowledge and experience to where it matters.

At least I hope. This is all speculation.
