Yup! I asked my best friends very liberal surgeon father why they use masks in the OR. He said it’s mainly to prevent body fluid. So then I asked, how come they don’t just use the same mask over and over in the operating rooms? Obviously bc of sterilization. I pointed to the cloth mask and said so, you’re saying that during use all kinds of contamination can be transferred to a mask, you use a new one every operation to ensure sterilization and protection, but you don’t see a problem with people caring these cloth masks in their pockets, purses, dropping them on the floor, and then wearing them inside out and not washing them for days? He started carrying He started carrying box of masks from work! 🙄
